DIY Distressed Jeans + Thriftventure

Fashion

And you say, thrifting is boring?

This is my second post about me writing how much I love rummaging clothes at a thrift store.

Few months ago me and my sister went to the nearby thrift shop and it was madness cuz both of us came home with full bag of clothes. I got myself a total of 10 clothes! Cuhrazzyy i know. 😂 One of those tops really caught my eyes but I don’t think I got a suitable pants to pair it with….until I found my old jeans.

I decided to DIY distressed this jeans with some guides from youtube lol 😂

As I’ve mentioned on one of my post in this blog, about how not-so-creative I am, the outcome of the jeans was the proof. 😂 There’s some mistakes on how it should be done from the way I cut, loosen the thread and so on. Gotta learn that techniques better baby! Well, it’s my first time doing this and I guess it’s not that bad. No?

I love this top!

Thanks to my cool husband for being my personal photographer haha 😘

My yesterday’s outfit of the day. Another top found from the thrift shop. I bet I have to pay more than RM40 just for the top if it’s not from a thrift shop. But this babyy, it costs me only RM3! 🙌 imma happy gal.

It’s not about brand, designers or how expensive your clothes are. It’s about style. Fashion is what you buy. Style is what you do with it. 😎 So don’t call me cheap 😅 I call it an adventure – thriftventure. 👗

My next mission is to find a new shoes/sneakers – brand new or thrift? Probably brand new. Shoes from the thrift are wayyy more expensive. You tell me why. 😁

That’s all for today. Thanks so much for reading. 😘

Love, Mich 🌸

DIY Coffee With Honey And VCO Mask/Scrub

Beauty

Here, I don’t look pretty…yet haha whatever 💆

I don’t really drink coffee (I absolutely don’t until I got married) but I do love the aroma of coffee and its ability to make our groggy mornings better. Who knows it also good for our skin too. Coffee has a high antioxidant capacity and that the caffeine contents can help to improve circulation.

There’s a lot of coffee scrub products where you can buy out there now. But sometimes I love to challenge myself to make my own coffee scrub. It makes me think I’m a creative person while I’m actually not. 😂

Ingredients:

  • Coffee grounds
  • Honey
  • Virgin Coconut Oil

Mix it together and apply to a clean face. Let sit for 15-20 minutes. I love to scrub smoothly in a circular motions before rinsing it off with warm water.

Benefits of Coffee for skin:

  1. Reduces Inflamattion
  2. Antioxidants
  3. Reduces Puffiness
  4. Minimize Dark Circles
  5. Brightens Skin

Honey: A natural antibacterial, so it’s good for acne prevention and treatment, great slowing down aging and moisturize skin.

Virgin Coconut Oil: Also a natural antibacterial, reducing facial wrinkles and a great moisturizer.

I’m sure there’s more to it.

How I wished I don’t have those small freckles. But gotta love it now!

Not flawless but I can say I’m happy that my skin feels smooth, fresh, revitalize, and no more dead skin cells! 😃 And of course, I made it with the ingredients found in the kitchen! *save your money kachinggg* 💰

Have you tried this before? How do you like it?

Thank you for reading! Happy blogging!

    Love, Mich 🌸
