WANDER | End of June

Hello July!

28th & 29th June | Mesilou Kundasang, got the chance to spend quality time with the family at this place. Husby couldn’t join us though since he has to work. Funny that he worked nearby that day but we couldn’t even meet him.

I would say it’s not the perfect family outing this time because of the rain and BIL was not feeling well. However I am still feeling blessed to be with them. Highlight of the short trip, mom’s cook of course! So fortunate mom insisted staying in a homestay instead of any resorts or hotels. I’m always right about this one: you always hungry when the weather is below 19ยฐc haha.

Let’s feed our eyes with some pictures shall we…

Perfect sunflowers!
These cuties!

Planned to buy cactus and succulents but the price was so damn expensive to me. ๐Ÿ˜‘ Calmed myself to buy later at the regular flowers’ stall but the rain is not cooperating that day. And the mood was ruined by that. It’s okay. Next time will do.

If only my place is not too hot to have these perfect sunflowers and the other flowers too.
The majestic Mt. Kinabalu

It’s like a sin for not capturing this kind of view. lol. I’ll always in love with Mt. Kinabalu and miss being on top of it like the old days.

Dreaming as if it’s my garden that I wake up early everyday because of these. hah!

*I’m still new with wordpress and still figuring out how to manage everything especially uploading a photo via my phone. I have lots of photos to share but guess my phone is not good enough to support this wordpress application. meh*

Anyway, yes we had a great moment together despite the bad weather. Will always come back there for sure with my husby next time. There’s still a lot more fancy and sweet accommodation to explore there with the exciting scenery.

Wishing a good month of July to all of us! Happy blogging!

Love, Mich.

FOOD | Relax Coffee Cafe

Last week me and my friend went to one of my favourite cafe in town to hang out and talks about…you know, women. ๐Ÿ˜…

It’s not my first time going to this cafe and I’ll always love the ambience inside the cafe with the music playing around which happens to be on my current playlists too. What’s not to like about that right?

So we ordered Hazelnut Coffee Latte and Chocolate with Matcha Crepe Cake. We’re actually just had our brunch at somewhere else few hours back. Hence we ordered the that-not-so-heavy-meal. I guess ๐Ÿ˜‚

The drink was good. I love the smell and taste of hazelnut. I guess everything about nuts are so right, right? I always wanted to try crepes cake. It’s my first time eating crepes cake and I found out I didn’t really like it. It didn’t makes me want to take another bite after a bite. We actually shared it yet still we couldn’t finish it. Crepes cake? First and last, full stop!

We had a great catch up session about married life and work stuffs at this cozy cafe. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Since the title for this post is about Relax Coffee Cafe, I’ll write another (kind of) food review from the same cafe but different day and time.

As I said earlier, I love the ambience of this cafe and it’s nearby our house so it like keep calling me to be inside of the cafe. ๐Ÿ˜‚

They just transformed this downstairs area recently from a plain restaurant to a stylish cafe. The staffs are helpful and friendly. I hope they’ll do it often.

So it’s lunchtime and I picked their new menu for my lunch. Butter Curry Chicken Spaghetti. Sounds weird huh? ๐Ÿ˜„ But it’s not so bad. I’m a little picky for when it’s about spaghetti. I don’t like spaghetti with any tomatoes sauce. What spaghetti without tomato sauce? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I know you’ll say that. But there’s carbonara right? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now about this Butter Curry Chicken Spaghetti. At first, it taste weird but after my second bite I actually love it! The combination of butter and curry is just so yesss for my liking. Level of spiciness, 2/10 which is why I like it. And the tenderness of the chicken is perfecto. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. ๐Ÿ‘Œ Just that, it would be totally perfect if they pour more sauces on it and replace the sausages slices to something else. Other than that, great!!

Writing about food is a temptation now that I’m hungry. Haha. I hope you enjoy reading and thanks!

Till then^^
