Hometown + Wedding

Spent the last week of August at my hometown and got to attend two weddings of my friends from highschool. One of it was my bestfriend’s wedding, Jessica.

It’s an honour to be one of her bridesmaids on their special day. Though I’m married, I’m still picked as one cuz it’s officially a tradition for the five of us to be each others bridesmaids.

Congrats girlfriend! Wish you happiness and joy! 😘 God bless your marriage.

Loving my make up that day. We hired a MUAH for the four of us and she made us feels like we wanna take lots of selfie LOL πŸ˜‚ I love how light it feels on my face but still it actually helps covering my flaws. At least for that day πŸ˜‰

So thankful to my husband Kerr for being cool and patience while he sits in the church without me beside him. Luckily, Scott was there (Ellen’s boyfriend) so they had each other. πŸ˜‚

We actually sang on her wedding day, after the prayer blessing. Jessica, the bride requested this and Cindy found just the perfect song. Singing that lyrics makes the four of us teary but we made it till the last beat. This song will stuck in my head forever. ❀

On the other notes, one of the highlights while we’re in hometown was food of course.

  1. Mango + Banana Smoothies
  2. Sponge Cake
  3. White Pitaya / Dragon fruit
  4. Watermelon Juice

One of the reason why I love going back in hometown is it’s easier and a lot more cheaper when it comes about food and sources.

And for the cake, I was so glad my mom asked me to bake for tea time that day. I was not in a baking mood during that time and fortunately the cake turned out well and yummy. Even my lil sister (who’s not really a fond of cake) asked for more. 😊

It’s truly a happy moments when we’re sitting there together despite having even the simplest meals. πŸ’•

That’s all for today! Thanks for reading.

Oh, hello September.

My Cleanser

I don’t really wanna talk about this just because I don’t know how to write it down in an attractive way as well as the beauty bloggers did out there. Lol. πŸ˜…

Anyway, I think it’s important for me to record it here in this blog for my own reference and for the sake of blog updates of course.

I had a combination skin before and I’ve been using Safi Rania Gold for years. I mean like since my early 20’s and it did quite a great job for my face. Bonus, it’s cheap! I don’t have acne problems, but I do have this dark spot and it’s the reason why I got a dull face like all the time. 😣

Lately, I figured out my skin was no longer have the T-zone areas problem (or maybe just lessen) but then I have these small non-inflammatory acne around my upper forehead and side cheeks areas. Though it’s not really visible and not a reddish bumps, it still bothering me. πŸ˜•

Two weeks ago, I decided to try a new cleanser. Setting my mind that maybe it’s time to change because of few factors such as age, hormonal changing, environment etc. Went to Watson few weeks ago and my eyes got engaged with this Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash. I’m not sure why but the facts that it has herbals formulation just caught my eyes at that moment. Plus, it claims to help clear pimple and prevent recurrence of acne over time. It’s been two weeks since then now, all I can say is, neutral. My non-inflammatory acne are still there, and sometimes I got a flaky dry skin on my nose crease. ouch. 😰 So I guess it’s not suitable for me or should I wait for another weeks? Months?  I don’t know now. Oh, it’s a soap-free face wash which is a good thing ( i guess…) but I actually don’t like it. I still love the foamy kind of face cleanser.

While I’m still contemplating whether to stick to the Himalaya or Safi Rania, I got this free sample of Eversoft Extra Nourishing Avocado & Rice Bran Face Cleanser . I’ve seen this product so many times before but never try one. It’s an organic formulated cleansers and that triggered me to fall in love with this face wash as I always wanted to try something organic, something free from parabens, SLS and so on. I just need to wait how will my skin react after few weeks of using this.

I hope it will works. *fingers crossed*

As for my dark spot, do you know how can I get rid of it? Like a treatment cream or something? And if you ever tried once of those face cleansers mentioned above, don’t hesitate to share your review/experiences on the comment section below.

Thanks for reading!

DIY Coffee With Honey And VCO Mask/Scrub

Here, I don’t look pretty…yet haha whatever πŸ’†

I don’t really drink coffee (I absolutely don’t until I got married) but I do love the aroma of coffee and its ability to make our groggy mornings better. Who knows it also good for our skin too. Coffee has a high antioxidant capacity and that the caffeine contents can help to improve circulation.

There’s a lot of coffee scrub products where you can buy out there now. But sometimes I love to challenge myself to make my own coffee scrub. It makes me think I’m a creative person while I’m actually not. πŸ˜‚

  • Coffee grounds
  • Honey
  • Virgin Coconut Oil

Mix it together and apply to a clean face. Let sit for 15-20 minutes. I love to scrub smoothly in a circular motions before rinsing it off with warm water.

Benefits of Coffee for skin:

  1. Reduces Inflamattion
  2. Antioxidants
  3. Reduces Puffiness
  4. Minimize Dark Circles
  5. Brightens Skin

Honey: A natural antibacterial, so it’s good for acne prevention and treatment, great slowing down aging and moisturize skin.

Virgin Coconut Oil: Also a natural antibacterial, reducing facial wrinkles and a great moisturizer.

I’m sure there’s more to it.

How I wished I don’t have those small freckles. But gotta love it now!

Not flawless but I can say I’m happy that my skin feels smooth, fresh, revitalize, and no more dead skin cells! πŸ˜ƒ And of course, I made it with the ingredients found in the kitchen! *save your money kachinggg* πŸ’°

Have you tried this before? How do you like it?

Thank you for reading! Happy blogging!
